Resolute. Renew. Reinvent.

I admit it I love making resolutions for the new year. I also really love keeping them. Id like to think that I place realistic expectations on myself when I set resolutions and or goals. Yesterday while I was out on my run I was thinking of writing this post. I have been seeing so much about New Years Resolution and how many people have such a hard time sticking to them. I find being in an accountability group of sorts is extremely helpful. I am in several group on Facebook that help motivate and keep me accountable towards my fitness goals. Please join our group eat run bake blog on Facebook. There you can find the motivation you need to eat healthy and get fit while having fun and bouncing ideas that work off other like minded people. If your goal is to excel in your career this year and perhaps find financial freedom please join us in Spark Your Rockstar group in Facebook. Spark your Rockstar is a community made by Carolyn Rim. Carolyn helped me spark the idea of this website. She is an amazingly motivated woman and spending anytime at all with this woman will motivate you to dig deeper and set goals that can be met!

What goals do you have in motion for yourself in 2016? I was on a call the other day about how to make 2016 my best year ever. I am convinced that this year will meet up to that standard. I made 4 goals. I wrote them down. I wrote about what needed to happen for me to meet the goals and I wrote about how I will feel once I have accomplished the goals I set.

Take advantage of this New Year. If you are like me starting a New year and new calendar is a blank canvas of potential for making new commitments and goals and sticking to them. I am accountable today. I am no longer the person I was with no goals and no direction and no drive. I love my life and only want to add value to it and to the lives of the people around me.

This week I started a new training plan for my first running event in 2016. I have shared this goal with others who are set to run the event with me. We will hold each other accountable by talking about our training runs. Make people aware of your goal they can help you get where you need to be. I know this to be 100% true. Many people know my story and if you don't, know this, everything I have today I got through being around other like minded people that had the same or similar life goals as I do. For the longest time my goal was just to not use one day at a time. Now that I have showed myself that I can do that my goals have grown and grown.

My goals for 2016:

Run a 50 mile event.

Reach the Rank of Silver with doTERRA by September.

Spend less time on my phone and social media while In my home and in the presence of my family.

Yell less.

Yes not all of my goals are glamorous but they are realistic and they are attainable through hard work and dedication. I am so pumped for this new year. I know its going to be amazing!

New Site

Hello Everyone Thank you for visiting. We have been active on our new site please us there. tententruth.com

I did it, it's over and I feel fine!

Sunday was an amazing day that I will always remember! The week leading up to race was a rainy mess. We had threats of a hurricane hitting the coast and we were preparing for the worst. My biggest fear was that weather was going to cause the race to be canceled. The show went on and we had no rain on race day. The temps were cool and the sky was overcast as we pulled up to the race. The Blues Cruise 50K Trail Run accepts 400 runners, the event had nearly reached its capacity as the runners were gathering around the Day Use Pavilion at Blue Marsh anxiously awaiting the 8:30 AM start. I felt great. I was confident in my training but still a little nervous about running my longest distance to date. My goal for the day was to finish. My desired time for the race changed a number of times from when I first signed up for the event. My unrealistic expectation were dismissed while training when I realized how slow my pace got the further I was running on the trails. I was so grateful

New Year! New You!

Yes I know we hear this year after year! What if this year we did actually stick to our resolutions and we did actually incorporate some healthy changes into our lives? For you what would that change look like? For me I really need to get back on track with my eating. To be exact I need to cut out sugar from my diet, refined sugar. I am telling you when I eat sugar I wake up feeling hungover. If you know me you know I dont drink so feeling hungover is not something that I want to feel. I have set a few goals for myself for the year. I like to share them with others to help hold myself accountable. 1. Run another 50 miler. 2. Become fully Self Employed. 3. Practice Yoga more. 4. Run the Grand Canyon 5. Be more peaceful. For each one of these goals to become my reality I need to create actions steps. For the running goals I have training plans. For the financial goals I have milestones I need to make in my doTERRA business before I am able to leave my day job. For the spiri
